Fenty beauty has been really popular since their first launch, i have tried few products from them and the quality was notably good. I picked this eyeshadow palette around end of last year during a sale period. I have used it for quite a while now since then and wanted to share a detailed review on my blog.
Where to get:
I ordered mine from Sephora’s website. If you don’t have a Sephora at your place another option is to directly order from Fenty beauty’s website (they have a list of countries where they ship to). Amazon also carries their products however i feel it is ridiculously overpriced there.
I’m pretty sure when it was launched this was marketed as limited edition. I don’t know if it was a marketing tactic or due to high demand this was made permanent but i’m glad they made this permanent. I like the outer packaging of this palette, it comes in a dark purple colour with the smoky design at the front and names of the shades printed at the back. You get a good quality mirror inside. The palette has a good weight to it but still is compact enough to be travel friendly. Because of the smooth, shiny and reflective surface it can get fingerprint marks on the outside, that is something to take note if it would bother you. This palette was inspired by spices of Morocco as the name suggests. It has 16 shades, a mix of mattes and shimmers.
The colours have a good mix of warm and cool tones, this can be easily an everyday palette. You could use the browns and golds on everyday basis. To switch things up there is a pink, dark plum, coral and a red. For a pop of colour and night time looks there is a blue and a smoky grey. You can definitely do a lot with this 16 shades. This is currently in my ‘shop my stash’ and I have been using it continuously for a month without getting bored. It excites and inspires me to do different colour combinations with this palette at the same time it is easy to use and not overwhelming.
I tried to create 3 different looks with this, a cool toned plummy-pink look, a pop of blue look and a warm toned bronzy red look. Definitely not an expert with winged line 😀 need to work on that. I paired them with a nude peachy pink gloss and a nude brown (gold shimmer) gloss with some lip liner.
For some reason the pink does not look that pink on me as it does on the pan or swatch. I would recommend using an eyeshadow primer or concealer with this so the shadows have a base to stick and can last longer. Using a wet brush would help to increase the colour intensity as well.
- Colour selection is amazing
- Neutral-lover / beginner friendly
- Travel friendly
- Mirror included
- Easy to blend and buildable.
- Not Vegan
- Requires a base.
- Names printed at the back.
This is a good palette to have for collectors or even beginners. If you starting your way into colourful shadows this is a good one to start with. I wouldn’t recommend paying full price for this, if there is a sale going on or if it is on offer i would suggest it! Personally i cherish having this and enjoy using it.
Do you guys have this already? Or planning to pick it up, let me know your thoughts on this would like to hear from you! Hope this was in helpful in some way.
Have a wonderful and happy week ahead.
