It was the month of sale and offers going on everywhere, how could i not splurge a bit 🙂 . The Black Friday sale was around Nov-24 and Sephora had 15% on every single item. That was a really good offer. Although i did not buy a ton, i ordered some essentials but of different brands that i haven’t tried so far. And a couple of these were ‘Holiday collection sets’. These sets are convenient way to test and try out sample’s or mini’s and buy a full sized product only when you like them. Apart from that, it would also make an awesome Christmas gift.
TWO FACED – Sweet Peach Eye Shadow Collection:
Before i start, i have to mention that Too-faced was purchased by Estee-Lauder company. But the brand still stays cruelty-free and not being sold in China. I would still like to and believe in supporting ‘Too-faced’, just like ordering Fries in McD you know what i mean 🙂 Peta reference link. Also i must highlight, this palette isn’t vegan. So moving on to positives, it is on the expensive side, so this was the perfect time to purchase it during the sale. It is an 18-shade eyeshadow palette that consist of peachy pinks, corals, bronzes and even some purples and green. The entire package has this peach fragrance, even the outer cover box! Good sturdy packaging with an ombre color effect. I feel warm and peachy shadows suits my skin well that is one of the reason why i got it. This would also make a perfect summery palette. And not to mention, this is my first ‘Too-faced’ palette so i’m excited to give this a go. I would surely like to use it for few weeks and write a detailed review.
Becca is one of my favorite brand. This ‘Jet-set Prep’ collection is a trio travel edition set that consists of two primers and one under eye brightening corrector. The First light primer smells citrusy and gives a natural glowing finish. Whereas the Backlight primer has a more of a sophisticated scent and gives an illuminating finish. I love both of them, they would suit well for a natural or glam’ed up makeup look. My daily use holy grail concealer is from Becca, henceforth i was happy to see the under eye corrector in this collection. As the name suggest it is definitely brightening as it gives a radiant effect. It has a peachy pinky color, it would be good to cancel out the darkness under eyes. For sure you will have to go over with a concealer on top. A very good combo to try out.

FIRST AID BEAUTY – Mask Diaries Kit (Limited Edition):
The only product i tried from this brand was their cleansing makeup wipes, which i adored to bits. So when i saw this limited edition kit that had 4 of their product ranges, it was like the best go-getter time to order it. The ‘Ultra repair cream’ is the biggest size of the four. It is a hydration cream that can be used on face and body, good for patchy dry skin. It has a mild familiar fragrance to it. The rest three products are face masks. Facial radiance peel is fragrance-free 5min face mask for getting a smooth & bright skin. On first glance, I see couple of misleading and confusing words on this tube – ‘Exfoliant’ & ‘Peel’ although by the looks of it, is neither of that. Next is the ‘Ultra repair Oatmeal face mask’ designed for nourishing and rejuvenating skin. This is also fragrance-free and safe for sensitive skin use. The final item is the ‘5 in 1 bouncy mask’ it claims to nourish, calm, firm, plump and refine the skin. This is also good suited for sensitive skin. Really an interesting bunch to go for.

URBAN DECAY – B6 Vitamin-Infused Complexion Prep Spray:
The package i saw online was different from what i received. Not sure if it was changed recently. Urban decay had a collaboration with ‘Skindanavia’ brand and formulated this prep spray, it is also vegan. It’s a treatment priming spray that you use before your moisturizer. Main reason i bought this was for oil-control. This spray helps to even out skin-tone, absorb oil and hydrate the skin. It is also infused with vitamin B6 which is good for your skin. I would actually like to try this as a setting spray and see hot it works that way. That would be our final product of this haul.
This post has highlighted some of the amazing cruelty-free brands and their vegan beauty options. If you had not made the switch yet, i would humbly request to go ‘Cruelty-free‘ so that our cute animal friends are not living a tormented short life because of our choices. I would be happy to know some of your favorite cruelty-free brands, do let me know! 🙂
……………………..Until next time 🙂 Vegandiarist ❤
