I recently learnt that ‘Singles day’ is popular day especially among the asian Chinese population , where they celebrate being single. Im not aware of the significance of this day but i discovered a good sale was going on, all around Singapore, Sephora included. How could i resist? so I shopped few makeup and skincare products that i wanted to try out. Best part is, all these brands are cruelty-free.

TARTE – Pack Your Bags 911 Undereye Rescue Patches:

I saw really good reviews for the Tarte under eye masks and i had to try it. As i had mentioned in my previous blog posts, i live for eye care products. There is a set of 4 in each box. It is an under-eye gel treatment patch. It claims to help in hydration, brightening of under eye and also to reduce lines, puffiness and dark-circles. It is packed with antioxidant complex, hypoallergenic and formulated without parabens and pthalates. And best of all it is vegan too! link

BOSCIA – Green Tea Mattifying Hydrogel Mask:

A mattifying, soothing and refreshing hydrogel sheet mask from Boscia. I had few breakouts recently and wanted to try this one. This mask claims to give vibrant skin that is less prone to breakouts. Since it has mattifying effect is should be good for oily and combination skin. It’s infused withJapanese green tea and is also vegan! link

PIXI – Glow Tonic:

This is a best selling product of pixi. I have seen great many reviews on it. When i decided to purchase, they were sold out couple of times. During the sale, it was available and I grabbed one. It is an exfoliating toner and is made of aloe vera, ginseng & 5% glycolic acid. It implies to give brighter, glowing and clearer skin. Another good option of Pixi is that they have different sizes to choose from. This baby is vegan too! Thrilled to try this one. link

MARIO BADESCUFacial Spray With Aloe, Herbs and Rosewater:

Refreshing facial spray made from aloe vera, rose water and herbs. This can be used as a toner as well and both on skin and hair. It’s good for hydration and soothing the skin, even can be used to treat skin related allergies. Im not sure but from the looks of it, this seems to be vegan as well. link

My only used lipsticks are nudes. I hardly use bright or dark colored shades. When i saw the mini nude lip set i was intrigued to try them. It had a couple of items which are not cruelty-free brands (which i noticed after ordering) but on the whole, most of them were cruelty-free. They are all mini products, i love mini’s as we can trial on them and buy full sized products if only we like it. Also there is a good chance of no waste and complete use of the product. link

(From the left to right)

  • Marc Jacobs – No Angel
  • Kat Von D Lipstick – Magick
  • Nudestix Matte (Lip + Cheek) –  Belle
  • Tarte lippie – whisper

FENTY BEAUTY – Match Stix Matte Skinstick (first swatch in the below pic):

After all the hype about FENTY brand, I wanted to try for myself. Hence i ordered the matte stick in the shade ‘Suede’. I wanted to use it for contour, in the website this color looked bit darker though. The product seems to be very good quality. It’s creamy/waxy formula and has good color payoff. It also seems easy to blend. I have a neutral skin tone, i hope this color suits me as a contour, i will know only after a try. link

NYX –  Bright Idea Stick (second swatch in the above pic):

It’s an illuminating stick that can be used for highlighting face and body. I have this in the shade ‘Bermuda Bronze’. This can also be used as a glowing bronzer or blush, easily it would serve as a multipurpose product. The stick has good amount of product, very creamy, pigmented but when applied on skin comes as powdery finish. I favor this a lot and NYX products are always on the affordable side. It would be perfect for travel too. link

URBAN DECAY – Naked Illuminated Shimmering Powder For Face And Body:

This was a limited edition travel sized product. A powdery baked highlighter, it comes with mirror and a small brush. The shade i have here is ‘Luminous’. The brush does a decent job in applying the highlighter. I love the finish of it although it is not so color pigmented. Instead gives a sophisticated and subtle glow. Good for an everyday use or travel times. All the shades are vegan. It comes in two other shade options. link

MARC JACOBS BEAUTY – Magic Marc’er Precision Pen Waterproof Liquid:

Although i’m not a fan of waterproof anything, i still purchased this eyeliner. My KatvondD tattoo liner has done me good from long time but sometimes i find it not pigmented enough to my liking especially when used over darker / shimmery eyeshadows. Before i re-purchase the same liner, i wanted to try the Marc Jacobs pen liner once as it had really good reviews, also i love this brand. When i swatched it on my hand,  i liked the black pigment of it. It gives the exact finish of a liquid eyeliner. Im happy that i went with this purchase. link

That is all we have for this haul. Thank you for reading 🙂 i hope my haul helped to highlight some of the cruelty-free brands in Sephora.
