Ashley Tisdale & BH: Beach Goddess Cruelty free and Vegan Palette – Review
Hola there! Welcome to another palette review 🙂
BH cosmetics is one of the US based cruelty free brands. Today’s review is going to be their collab palette with Ashley tisdale (American actress). I don’t know much about her. But when i saw this palette on BH website, it was love at first sight.
Where to get: It is available on BH cosmetics website (they ship international). Also on Ashley’s website. It may be available at Ulta stores in the US (i’m not so sure of it).
Product Description: It is a small sized item. That was the first thing i noticed. Magnetic closure, weight less and compact The exterior design is feminine with pink and white zebra pattern. The text’s were in glossy gold. At the back it had the names of the shades, ingredients and the leaping bunny logo. It is also vegan friendly ❤
It is designed for a sun kissed, everyday daytime looks. The palette is themed as beach goddess and the shades are named after islands. It has 12 colors with 9 eyeshadows (4 mattes and 5 shimmers) and 3 face colors (bronzer, highlight and blush). The colors vary from neutrals, nude pinks, coppery browns and gold. Their formula is powdery, they come out more pigmented and smooth on slight blending.
Bermuda – Blush
ST Lucia – Highlight
Seychelles – Bronzer
The blush appears peachy and warm toned on the palette but on the skin, it comes out more on the cool side. The bronzer could also be used for contouring, for a lighter skin tone. The highlight could also work for a blush.
Usage: I had used this for my engagement and pre wedding photo shoot. The shimmery eye look came out so good on the photos. I have been traveling with it and its always the one i reach for. Since it has everything needed for a full face makeup. I use it to everyday work especially when I’m in a hurry, i grab this to throw on a quick look. You could play around for neutral looks. Even though it’s a daytime palette, it also gives party/nighttime options. Easy to use, beginner friendly and versatile.
Pro’s: The shadows are pigmented. The blush is shimmery enough on its own that cheek highlights could be skipped. It gives the natural glowy finish. The bronzer is my favorite, it blends down and melts into the skin. The overall palette is designed for romantic and beachy looks.
Con’s: I feel the shades tahiti and cabo could have been more pigmented. They sometimes don’t show up on my skin. It needs bit of layering. Nonetheless, using a wet brush would fix it.
My Review: Its very beautifully put together. It makes you feel like a natural beauty. It would be very good for begginers to play around. This is definitely one of my favorite. I might be hitting the pan on the bronzer and blush soon. I will be going for another one, when I’m done with this.
Hoping you enjoyed the review and that it had helped you.
